NEW DELHI: The government has suggested exempting battery-operated vehicles in the need for charge payment for enrollment certificates.
In this respect, the ministry of road transport and highways has issued a draft notification suggesting that the exemption for battery-operated vehicles (BOVs).
“The ministry of road transport and highways has recently issued a draft notification dated May 27, 2021, further to amend the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, agreeing to exempt BOV against payment of charges for the purpose of renewal or issue of RC and mission of new registration mark,” the ministry said in a declaration.

Comments from the public and stakeholders are hunted within 30 days by the date of this draft notification.
Separately, the ministry has recently already issued a telling setting down security needs for vehicles of different types which run anhydrous ethanol or mixtures of ethanol with petrol.
The classes are L (two or three wheeler, quadricycle), M (4 ) wheeler and over, carrying passengers) and N (4 ) wheeler and over, carrying products ).
