Lucknow: The Greater Noida area has received an investment worth 26,530 crore in the past four and a half years, said the state government on Saturday.
This investment has created employment for 71,500 people, where 40% of local adolescents also received jobs at 391 factories established in the area.
An official said that land was allocated for 46 investors in the past year, despite a pandemic.
Greater Noida Authority has bought 900 hectares of land to establish eight new industrial sectors.
“Because of the progressive and state manufacturing policies, food processing policies and concessions provided to promote investment in the solar energy sector, we get several investments in these sectors.
Chinese electronics and Oppo and Vivo mobile companies invest in Greater Noida.
Apart from this, Companies such as Hiranandani Group, Electronic DreamTouch, Air Inox, Lami Plastic Manufacturing has bought land from a larger Noida Authority to start their business, “the official said.
He said that in the past year, the plot ranging from 40 to 1,000 square feet has been allocated for 46 investors.
The water plant is being arranged at a cost of Rs 2,000 Crore which will employ around 8,200 people.
“Since the airport in the plane gets green signals, more companies have shown interest in investing in Greater Noida.
