GR Noida tends to have a 5th waste plant in 3 years

Greater Noida: In three years, Greater Noida’s authority will establish a fifth waste treatment plant (STP) with an installed capacity of 80 MLD capacity in 32,000 square meters in the Greater Noida (West) sector.
The cost of this project is Rs 60 Crore, and work is expected to be completed in three years in four phases, where the first phase will provide 20 MLD water.
The tender for STP will be carried out in December, officials said.
Water treated from STP can be used for irrigation purposes throughout the region as well as on construction sites.
This will also reduce the use of ground water, officials said.
At present, Greater Noida has four STPS from various operational capacities in various areas of the city.
“Given the need for increasing populations in Greater Noida (West), we have decided to set STP 80 MLD capacity.
The tender is ready to float immediately.
In the first phase, it will give 20 MLD water and then it will be expanded as needed,” said Narendra Bhoooshan, Gnida CEO.
STP gradual development will help save electricity, officials said.
Greater Noida (West) has around 200 builders.
Many of them are occupied, while others are expected to give ownership immediately.
As a result, there is a population growth expected in the area.
“While most major communities have their own STP, some people, sectors, neighboring villages, educational and industrial institutions in the area need STP to treat sewers.
Therefore, the decision for STP for Greater Noida (West) is taken to maintain This development, “Bhooshan said.
“The work to build STP will be done in four phases.”
