New Delhi: Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), which will hold an important meeting on Thursday to review the limitations in the capital, it may consider to reopen the school in stages of the first week of February, sources said.
In the midst of a decrease in the number of cases Covid-19 and the level of positivity and increased demand from traders to open all the shops and restaurants, DDMA, which is chaired by Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal, also may consider lifting weekend and evening, do Rules strange even to the market and allowing a gym, spa, and restaurant to operate again.
Sources said the Delhi government has asked all schools to complete the first dose of vaccine Covid to those who qualify in the 15-17 age group on 31 January.
According to officials, 85% of children eligible in government schools and 50% of private eligible.
School students have received their first shot.
“Schools have also been told to contact the students and their families through phone calls or home visits and convince them to take the vaccine in the coming days,” an official said, requesting anonymity.
“The government will propose reopening elected school incremental way, with grade 9 to 12 start offline from February 1,” the official added.
Citing various studies conducted by global institutions, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Wednesday said that the risk Covid-19 less among children and the reopening of the school is required to prevent damage to the social and emotional wellbeing of students.
According to the meeting agenda DDMA, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare will give a presentation on the situation and preparation after a rise in cases since Omicron variants.
DDMA will review the status of vaccination dose of prudence and frontline health workers and senior citizens with comorbidities.
It is also expected to review the vaccination status of children and the implementation of the Action Plan’s response to the story (Grap).
