Gram Sabha Meeting Mark Gandhi Jayanti

Coimbatore: The Sabha gram meeting was held in the district to discuss the expenses and requirements in the future of the village on the commemoration of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth on Saturday.
The villagers participated in this meeting actively and gave their advice for village growth.
District collector S s Sseeran participated in the gram Sabha meeting in the village of Rayaroothupathi near NayakakanPalayam Pancayat.
While explaining the purpose of the meeting of Grama Sabha, he asked villagers to play a constructive role in developing their village by ensuring the infrastructure and facilities needed.
“You can play an important role in bringing the scheme or infrastructure needed to the village by playing a role in a resolution.
At the same meeting,” he said.
Collectors have instructed Pancayat officials to ensure important services such as drinking water, street lights and other facilities in the village.
However, there are scenes that are difficult to arrange.
The police had to intervene in the meeting of Grama Sabha in Maruthur Panchayat in the Caramadai Panchayat Union to calm the villagers, which leveled allegations of corruption towards President Panchayat R Poornima.
When the Panchayat Secretary began reading expenses for the past year, the villagers said at that time the tank was carried out using a machine, it was stated that the work was carried out by involving workers under the Mnrega scheme.
The villagers said Panchayat staff and the president had cheated money.
Then, the police intervened and calmed the villagers.
