Grand Slams pledge’Purposeful improvements’ Following Osaka row

PARIS: The four Grand Slams on Tuesday vowed to”create significant improvements” for their championships in an attempt to prevent a repeat of this Naomi Osaka crisis that struck on the French Open.
Japan’s world number two Osaka withdrew from Roland Garros once she had been threatened with expulsion for wanting to execute media conferences which she asserts are detrimental for her psychological wellbeing.
“We want to operate together with the gamers, the excursions, the press and the tennis community to make purposeful developments,” an announcement from the French, US and Australian Opens and Wimbledon stated.
