LOS ANGELES: More than one million hectares of West West and Canada caught fire on Wednesday when some blazes went on the whole area, driven by soaring temperatures and droughts, and with a few signs of release.
The large area of California was placed on a red warning because some fires continued to burn.
The fire of the river called still has not been controlled while burning near Yosemite National Park, officials said.
Firefighters are also worried about the progress of Dixie’s fire, farther north.
While 2020 was the worst year for fires in modern California history, 2021 may have violated the record.
But in the neighboring state of Oregon that the fire did most of the damage.
Whipped with dry conditions and strong winds, the bootleg fire has devoured more than 212,758 hectares (86,000 hectares), equivalent to 120,000 fields of football, forcing many residents to evacuate the region.
Forest fires also get land across the border in Canada.
West of the country, who experienced an unprecedented heat wave, has reported more than 35 new fires in the last two days, according to the local authorities.
One of the main outbreaks covers more than 10,000 hectares (40,000 hectares) and nearly 900 houses have been evacuated.
Experts believe the heat waves have been exacerbated by global warming, and there is no expected increase in the coming days, said meteorologists.
Western North America is trapped in a devastating vicious circle: dry soil and dry vegetation in turn creates conditions for higher temperatures, and higher temperatures, recurring heat waves and reducing rainfall is the ideal combination for fire development.
In East Canada, 1,000 people must be evacuated in recent days, especially among indigenous peoples in Ontario, the most populous provinces in the country.
