Ahmedabad: Great Great Mahatma Gandhi, Tushar Gandhi, has approached the Gujarat High Court take the exception of rebuilding proposed by Gandhi Ashram by Government Authority.
In PIL submitted recently, Gandhi demanded that rebuilding must be planned and implemented by Trust who had managed the office four decades.
The applicant has urged HC to direct that every rebuilding work must be planned and executed by the Organization of Gandhian – Sabarmati Ashram Preservation and Memorial Trust, Khadi Gramodyog Prayog Samiti, Harijan Ashram Trust, Sabarmati Ashram Gaushala Trust, Harijan Sevak Sangh – Under Aegis National Gandi Nidhi, which was formed after Gandhi’s murder to preserve his inheritance.
He insisted that the state and state government must remain a funding agent.
Gandhi has been seeking the cancellation of the March 5 government resolution issued by the industry and the Mining Department forming the Board of Management and the Executive Board, which consists of all government officials, for the development of Gandhi Ashram’s warning and campus.
