Greater Noida: Greater Noida houses will get Ganga water from next month, officials at Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (Gnida) announced on Saturday.
Gnida should start supplying ganga water a few months ago, but the project was delayed because of a pandemic.
It was waiting for permission from the authorities to start working in the village of Bisada.
Gnida couldn’t start digging the ground there to put a pipe because Indian oil pipes were already there.
As much as Rs 800 Crore will be spent carrying around 85 cusec water to the city.
Water will be supplied from the Ganga channel in Muradnagar.
Gnida officials also claim that only 1,500 of the 19,000 strange farmers left are given a plot developed for the land they provide for various projects.
In the next round, 387 farmers from Sakipur Village and Dadha will be given a plot.
These plots have been developed and the Department of Land is preparing a checklist that will be issued to execute registrants.
In addition, officials from the development authority visit industrial blocks in the ecotech sector on Sunday after complaints from several employers about poor drainage networks, water supply, etc.
