Greater Noida: Minister of Industry was heavy MN Pandey inaugurated the first APCT up

Noida: With AQI remained very poor at 356 in Noida and 362 in Greater Noida on Wednesday, the first air pollution control tower (APCT) above the green belt area of ​​400 square meters of DND Expressway near the film sector 16, was inaugurated by Mahendra.

Built at a cost of Rs 4 Crore by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (Bhel), the operational costs of RS 37 Lakh per year will be borne equally by Noida and Bhel authorities.
APCT operates by sucking polluted air through the base / under the tower where the filter is installed on the basis of capturing particle material.
The free air from particles is then released from the top of the tower.
“Particle material captured in the form of dust is collected in the hopper at the base of the APCT that will be removed regularly,” said Executive Director Dr.
Balvir Talwar Bhel.
APCT will purify an area of ​​1 square kilometer (247 hectares), with a filtration capacity of 80,000 pistols per hour.
It will benefit the sector including 16, 16A, 17, 17A, 18, DND and Noida-Greater Noida Expressway.
At present, APCT is being produced in Bhel-Heep, Haridwar Plant.
After assembly experiments and testing in Haridwar, it was installed in Noida by Bhel which will also monitor performance parameters regularly.
