Greater Noida to connect all village sewer lines to STPS

Greater Noida: Great Noida Authority has prepared a blueprint for connecting a gutter line from all 124 villages under its jurisdiction to a waste treatment plant (STP).
While many villages already have a gutter line, they have not been connected to STPS.
The disposal of waste water from these villages was collected through tankers by the agency deployed by Gnida to the disposal site where the same thing reached STPS for further processing and treatment.
So far, around 40 villages have been connected with STPS under this plan, while work is underway to connect 80 more villages in one year, officials said.
“After overcoming the sewer problems crossing Greater Noida, we have now begun to solve problems in villages.
Blueprint has been prepared to connect all 124 villages to STPS,” CEO Gnida Narendra Bhoohan said.
“This drive will be part of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.”
