It was announced by CEO of Gnida Narendra Bhoooshan on Wednesday at the Energy Expo of the three-day renewal which began on September 15 in India Expo and Mart.
Energy originating from the factory can be used by authority or given to Noida Power Company Limited that supplies power to Greater Noida for additional resources.
The current power request of Greater Noida is 450MW, which is expected to increase by 100mW next year.
“Greater Noida has a 1mw solar power plant.
The second solar factory of 2MW will be built on the Hawelia channel, which we will wither tender in a month,” CEO BhooShan Gnida said.
The authority has also established a kiosk at the exhibition, with 120 exhibitors, where he highlights the main projects and works.
Inviting investors to the region, Bhooshan knew that Greater Noida moved quickly to sustainable development with a focus on green energy.
“We were awarded the tender to install 70,000 LED street lights last week, which around RS 50 Crore will be spent.
This will result in 50% energy savings, thereby reducing carbon footprint,” BhooShan said.
Bhagwanth Khuba, the Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy, Chemicals and Fertilizers, is a guest of honor at the event.
He said India aimed to produce 100GW from solar power in 2022 and 450GW in 2030.
He added that with the announcement of the national hydrogen mission, the aim was to make this country a global hub for the production and export of green hydrogen.
Alex Ellis, the High Commissioner of England to India, noted that India took “impressive action” by setting a 450gw renewable energy target in 2030.
“Britain has shown that decoupling emissions and economic growth can – expand our GDP by 75.% while cutting emissions 43% since 1990, “he said.
