Greater Noida: Multimodal transportation and the proposed logistics hub (MMTLH) near the Bodaki will be connected via Skywalk.
The 500m-long path will serve as a link to the bus and train station and the planned metro station in the area.
According to officials at the Regional Development Authority, it will be the first Skywalk of the district in the transportation center.
The concept plan and detailed project report (DPR) are being prepared by the PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC) and are expected to be ready in one month.
“Preparation for building the first Skywalk of the district.
After being ready, people can have easy access to buses and trains and metro stations that will appear in MMTLH,” said Narendra Bhoooshan, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the authority of the Nida Industry Development More Great (gnida).
“This project has been planned at 478 hectares covering seven villages in the Bodaki area.
While approval for the project from the Indian government has been received, around 80% of the land needed has been obtained,” CEO added.
MMTLH will include three important projects, train stations, inter-country and local bus terminals and metro stations in the Aqua line corridor.
The train station plan has been approved by the train ministry and is likely to be ready in the next five years.
“Those who live in and around Greater Noida will be able to take the train from here to go to Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal, among other places.
They don’t have to go to Delhi now,” BhooShan added.
The plan to build a metro line for 3 km from the Depot Station in Greater Noida to Bodaki has also been approved.
“Efforts are being made to make train stations, bus stands, and metro stations are more accessible.
That’s why we decided to build a skywalk,” said BhooShan.
He added that MMTLH would also have a hotel, office space and parking lot.
“People who come to town for meetings or conferences will be able to stay in these hotels.
We will also have office space and multi-storey parking lots,” he said.
