Navi Mumbai: City activists and environmental lovers have broken sustainable illegal tree cuts in the MIDC plot near Mhape Naka in Navi Mumbai, because they say that the legal process is not followed to fully cleanse green cover from this land.
“As many as 70 large trees and some small trees have intentionally and illegally cut in the plot of ‘P2’ MIDC in Ghansoli node, near Mhape Naka, even though I personally show that there are no proper administrative procedures followed.
This is a fit case to take MIDC to court because it does not show respect for our tree or environment.

Former Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) Corporator (NMMC) and members of the Civic Tree Authority, Raju Shinde, said, “While the allotment of the P2 plot has been carried out for companies that deal with bullet train projects, MIDC plantation departments and their trees.
