Grenade targets Taliban vehicles in the Afghan capital: Officials

Kabul: A grenade was thrown at the Taliban vehicle in the Afghan capital on Wednesday morning, injuring two fighters and four nearby school children, said government officials.
“This morning a grenade was thrown at the Mujahideen vehicle in Deh Mazang, injuring two Mujahidin,” Taliban Interior Ministry spokesman Qari Sayed Khosti told AFP.
Other officials said: “Our initial information showed four injured school students.” The explosion occurred before 8am (0330 GMT) during rush hour in the district Deh Mazang in the west of the capital, a witness told AFP.
“I was on my way to work, it was 7:55 a.m.
and I heard a very big explosion on the road.
I managed to escape,” Amin Amani said.
“I saw a lot of smoke in the car mirror and I saw people running,” said the 35-year-old translator.
The image shared on social media shows plum smoke and dust going up to the air on the streets of the capital.
