Rajkot: At least seven people were injured in a group clash broke out in the queue for Covid-19 vaccination in a school in Bharala Village in Khambhalia Taluka from Devbhomi-Dwarka district on Thursday afternoon.
According to the police, the two different community youths first quarreled on the position in the queue at the Taluka School, which, however, came out of control and members of the two communities reached a point with weapons and pipes to attack.
“The riots broke out among members of two communities and seven people from both sides were injured.
They were first taken to the hospital in Khambhalia and then shifted to a civil hospital in Jamnagar for care,” said Samir Sarda, Deputy Supervisor of the Police, Khambhalia.
“The process of cemaras is ongoing and the police bandobast has been deployed in the village to avoid further escalation,” he added.
