New Delhi: Following a fight between two groups of students at the University of Jawaharlal Nehru (JNU) on Sunday night, both sides – JNU students and Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) – blame each other for “violence on campus”.
Vandalism charges in the JNUU room and injured students were also made by both groups.
They also issued a protest march on Monday on campus.
Meanwhile, the police on Monday registered two APIs under the IPC 323 section (voluntarily caused injury), 341 (wrong restraint) and 34 (general intentions) at the Vasant Kunj (North) police station regarding the altercation.
The police claimed no one was injured in the clash.
Jnusu said the study circle, hundreds of Flowers Group, had booked a union room on November 11 for reading and discussion sessions scheduled for November 14.
