KOLLAM: A 22-year-old girl, who sustained a severe head injury after falling from the elevator in the Regional Cancer Centre (RCC), Thiruvananthapuram, on May 15 expired on Wednesday morning.
Nadeera, spouse of Muhammed Ismail of Charuvila House, Kundayam, Pathanapuram, that sustained severe injuries in her head, back and thigh bone has been undergoing therapy in the Medical College Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram.
From the Covid test ran following the passing, she had been tested positive.
The funeral has been held in the Kundayam Jamaat khabarsthan on Thursday.
Nadeera satisfied with the injury when she arrived to care for her mum Nazeema, that had been undergoing therapy after operation.
Nadeera had stepped to the elevator that has been under repair after a breakdown.
Nadeera’s relatives stated there wasn’t any board to warning the people.
After she entered the elevator it dropped from the third floor to the floor.
Since the episode happened by 5 am, it had been hours after the accident which she was discovered from the hospital security personnel.
Nadeera’s relatives stated that the physicians attending also committed serious lapses.
1 week following the episode a operation has been ran in her thigh bone and that she had been known to Punalur taluk hospital to proceed to the treatment.
But she wasn’t changed since she became crucial and dropped unconscious.
Further tests showed brain injury.
This delay in discovering the brain injury slowed her illness, after which she had been admitted to the neurosurgery ICU.
The household has complained to the ministry and health minister about the lapses.
Health minister Veena George said measures will be required to compensate the household.
