AHMEDABAD: The weakest of this ambitious cross-country of Gujarat State Petronet Ltd (GSPL) by Mehsana into Bhatinda has been postponed by a few months because of this next tide of Covid-19.
The 1,670km pipeline linking Mehsana in Gujarat into Bhatinda in Punjab was previously scheduled to be headquartered in June.
The pure gas trunk pipeline project, that extends through Jaipur in Rajasthan, is projected to cost Rs 5,500 crore.
“This job is currently anticipated to be ready to go from September or October,” according to a senior company officer attentive to the development.
“The delay was because of Covid-related constraints including from the neighboring country of Rajasthan,” the official stated.

In 2011, Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board had approved GSPL, a subsidiary of the Gujarat authorities, to put the Bhatinda-Jammu-Srinagar gasoline pipeline.
The project includes 840km primary line of 36 inch diameter and also 785km spur line.
GSPL has put in place a pipeline community of approximately 2,696kilometers, covering 25 districts in Gujarat.
