New Delhi: GST revenue for June stood at Rs 92,849 Crore, a 2 percent increase over the same month a year ago, the Ministry of Finance said on Tuesday.
Gross GST income was collected in June 2021 standing at RS 92,849 Crore from where GST Center is RS 16,424 Crore, State GST RS 20,397, RS RS 49,079 Crore (including RS 25,762 Crore collected on imported goods) and Cess is Rs 6,949 Crore (included RS 809 Crore was collected on imported goods), said the ministry.
GST revenue for June 2021 was 2 percent higher than Rs 90,917 Crore collected in June 2020.
The GST collection remained above the Crore sign of Rs 1 Lakh for eight consecutive months and recorded at RS 1.02 Lakh Crore in May.
However, the collection in June 2021 dropped under Crore Rs 1 Lakh.
“The GST collection for June 2021 is related to business transactions conducted during May 2021.
During May 2021, most of the states / UTS are under a complete or partial lock because of Covid,” added the ministry.
