Kanpur: After Kanpur and Kananamuj, the GST team on Wednesday invaded a cold storage business company and flour mill in the Farrukhabad district belonging to the former BSP leader Tariq Ahmed.
RAID was carried out by the GST team led by the commissioner with the Prajapati Day of the GST Department’s Special Investigation Branch, Etawah.as per GST official, as long as the initial findings when they began checking documents in the flour factory unit, it discussed that even after an increase in turnover, taxes yet paid.
Commissioner with the Special Investigation Branch of the GST Department Harilal Prajapani while talking to MediodPersons said that during a preliminary investigation, the team detected a tax evasion case.
He said the investigation also occurred at the Tariq Ahmed company head office in Mumbai where several documents had not been found.
“The team after finding stocks and sales registers will do their physical verification”, Prajapati said.
According to sources, Tariq is the owner of four cold storage.
Tariq is basically a resident of Isapur Village in the Kamalgan area but now he lives in Fatehgarh.
He has compiled the assembly selection on BSP tickets from Kamalganj constituency (now the constituency of BHOJPUR).
