Hyderabad: Telangana reported a collection of 26% of goods and services (GST) in July, raising Rs 3,610 Crore compared to the same period last year, when it collected Rs 2,876 Crore.
But this year’s growth rate is less than the total growth rate of 32% in July this year against the same period last year.
According to data about the GST collection from the Union Government, neighboring Andhra Pradesh reported a 28% increase, higher than Telangana in July this year.
Tamil Nadu has the highest growth rate among southern countries in the GST collection, with a 36% increase in July this year.
While the growth of the GST Kerala collection reached 27% in July 2021, Karnataka had the lowest growth at 12% in the same period.
During the second covid-19 pandemic, Tax Collection and Telangana Government Services (GST) has increased with a 17 percent increase in March compared to March 2020.
According to the figures of GSS GST Government Government, the State Government of Collecting RS 3,562 Crore in March 2020 and has reached Rs 4,166 Crore in March this year.
Except for a few months, the GST collection in Telangana continues to increase since July last year.
The state has a negative growth rate in November 2020, with a 5% decrease in GST collection compared to November 2019.
GST collection figures for October 2020 and 2019 are RS 3,175 Crore and Rs 3,349 Crore.
“If the Covid-19 scenario remains steady, we hope a significant increase in the GST collection in the following months,” said a top official.
