Guest lecturers are held to harass female students in Karnataka

Mangaluru: Lecturer at a Government College in Dakshina Kannada District has been arrested for allegedly harassing a 20-year-old female student from the institution.
The person arrested has been identified as Vignesh (40), the police said.
The victim, who is the last year’s degree student in college, which is used to get unwanted messages from lecturers for the past year after online class.
The message stopped when the girl warned her that she would present this problem before the principal.
Lately, the man began to follow the girl on the campus campus ask him to marry him and allegedly threatened him by submitting complaints.
The girl filed a complaint at the Shankararaarayana police station, after that the man was arrested on charges of under 354 IPC.
He produced before the judge and given a guarantee, said the source.
