Coimbatore: A 40-year-old guest worker allegedly died in detention at the Karumathampatti police station on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Satendra Prasad Bhuiya from the Dhanbad district in Jharkhand.
“He began working as a cook for a guest worker at Kumar Nagar in Karumathampatti three days ago.
On Monday at around 4am, he was suspected of trying to get home at Kumar Nagar.
The inmates raised the alarm and the neighbors arrested him.

He became unconscious around 7:40 a.m.
and was rushed to a government hospital in Somanur.
