Gandhinagar: The day after postponing Gujamat Global Summit (VGGS) who was passionate and other mega events because of Spurt in the Covid-19 case, the government announced further restrictions on Friday.
The start of the night at night has also advanced to 10 nights from 11pm and it will end at 6 am every day.
Two more cities – Nadiad and Anand – have been added to a list of cities where night hours are forced.
New guidelines come into force since Saturday and will remain until January 15, the government said.
In the main announcement, the government said the school directly for grade 1 to 9 will be stopped until January 31.
The association of hotels and restaurants, Gujarat, on Thursday made representation to the government, asking that home delivery was allowed until 11:00.
“We thank the government for not changing the rules regarding marriage and other social meetings and allowing home delivery late at night,” said Narendra Somani, President Hra, Gujarat.
Aditya Shah, CFO from a city mall said while the case number was very high and the mall had strengthened to reduce footsteps, it was a good decision to not fully close the mall and retail outlets.
“This will help retail outlets and other companies defend themselves in these difficult times,” he said.
