Ahmedabad: Two men from a village in Dahegam Taluka from Gandhinagar landed in the police net while carrying a bottle given by their friends to be secured on Saturday night.
According to the Polda Barat in Gandhinagar District, they got input that two men riding motorbikes carrying liquor without any permission.
Three police officers had rushed to Rabarivas near the village of Athamana in Dahegam from where men carrying liquor should pass.
The police stopped the Duo, Dinesh Parmar, 30, a resident of Chiskari Village, and Ashwin Patel, 26, who is also a resident of Chiskari Village.
They found a bottle of vodka with a weight of 750ml from the ownership of Patel who was women who were wanufactured in Rajasthan and worth around RS 350.
When the police asked about liquor bottles, they told the police that the bottle of liquor belonging to their friend Karan Jhala, who lived near Limbach’s temple Chiskari.
“They told the police that Jhala had given them a bottle to be secured and he told them that he would take it back later,” he said.
The source at the police Dahegam said that when Jhala was busy in some work, he had told them to keep the bottle he should consume on Saturday night.
The police said that the two men were sent to locking and ordered on charges of the ban on the ban.
Their motorbikes worth RS 15,000 were also confiscated with bottle of liquor by the police.
