Rajkot: Ragging allegations have shaken government physiotherapy colleges in Jamnagar with 28 second year students who filed complaints against their 15 seniors.
The college authority has begun investigation by the anti-ragging committee after the complaint and the report is expected on Thursday night.
According to reports, the students alleged that their seniors called them with a preliminary pretext and harassed it.
However, college authorities refused to determine the nature of harassment.
The source claimed that the juniors were made to stand in cold weather without clothes and some of them were forced to climb trees.
However, there was no official confirmation regarding this accusation.
Speaking with reporters, Dinesh Dinesh In-Charge Sorani said, “After getting complaints on Tuesday night, we have held an anti-ragging committee meeting and ordered an investigation.
We also have told our head office about it.
We will take action according to the guidelines UGC After the committee submits the report.
“According to Sorani, the college strictly follows the rules without ragging and students described about the consequences of Ragging when entering.
If the accusation is proven, students accused of being expelled from the dormitory based on seriousness.
