Ahmedabad: The state government has told the Gujarat High Court which aims to cover 80% of the population of the country’s adults with the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine at the end of September.
In his written statement, the State Health Department said that the government “will do all efforts to carry out vaccination drives with full force, because vaccination is a large weapon to stop the viral transmission chain.” The state government has told HC that on June 30, it has a total of 5.95,030 vaccine doses.
There were 5,12,260 covishield doses and 82,770 covaxin doses in stock.
The government has claimed that 65.56 lakh people have received the first dose of their vaccine, while 16.27 lakh has received the second dose too.
In 33 districts, 1.33 crore people have received their first dose and 39.08 lakh from them got the second dose too.
The state government provides details of vaccinations carried out to date, especially in prisoners and special home staff staff such as children’s homes, old houses, women’s residence, etc.
Claims that in nine houses grants for beggars, there are 145 residents.
