Ahmedabad: Gujarat anti-terrorism forces (ATS) arrested three people from a village in the Morbi district with 120kg Heroin on Sunday night.
Drugs confiscated have an estimated international value of Rs 600 Crore, DGP Ashish Bhatia told reporters here on Monday.
The drug consignment was allegedly sent by Pakistani residents, Zahid Bashir Baloch.
He is the desired absconce in the 2019 case where the heroin 227kg was confiscated by the Directorate of Intelligence Intelligence.
Acting on the input received by the Deputy Supervisor of the Police, ATS, KK Patel, a team of Gujarat ATS, led by DSP Bhavesh Rojiya raided the house under construction owned by One Shamsuddin Husseinmiya Saiyyed near The Dargah of Kotawala Pear in Jinjuda Village of Maliya -Miyana in Morbi.
Heroin was confiscated after the attack.
Patel has received intelligence input with the effect that one of the accused, Mukhtar Hussein aka Jodbar Jodiya, and Ghulam Bhagad, Jodia’s population in Jamnagar and Salaya each in Devbhoomi-Dwarka, has smuggled narcotics through the sea route.
According to input, the two defendants will meet at night at the third defendant’s house, Shamsuddin Husseinmiya Saiyyed aka Pirzada Bapu.
As a result, the ATS team arrested the defendant with heroin at Saiyyed’s house.
Introduction investigations have revealed that heroin delivery was brought by Hussein and Bhagad through the sea route and they had received labor from Pakistan.
Isa Rav Hussein, Brother Mukhtar Hussein, touched Pakistan-Resident Baloch and has exchanged coordinates for drug delivery in medium operation.
The drug consignment was delivered in the last week of October and was originally hidden in the coastal area near Salai.
It was then transferred to Saiyyed’s house in Jinjuda Village in Morbi.
