Ahmedabad: With 42 new Covid-19 cases and 262 release in 24 hours, Covid active cases fell below 1,000 in the state for the first time after April 17 last year when active cases were 972.
Active cases in the Ahmedabad district fell to 311 , because the district accounted for a third of the active case of Gujarat.
It is one of the lowest daily cases calculating for the city of Ahmedabad in more than a year, while letters recorded 11, Rajkot and Vadodara 3 cases.
Of the 33 districts and eight city corporations, 22 recorded zero cases, while the other 12 recorded one case.
It was the second day in a row from no death of Covid patients active in the state according to the State Ministry of Health, when the district letter recorded the only death in the last five days.
Daily vaccination dropped again at a dose of 2.32 lakh on Sunday compared to 3 lakh on Saturday.
Saturday was the first day after three days when there was no vaccination carried out in the state.
