Ahmedabad: With the waiting period for driving tests on the lengthwise track beyond 45 days, the Gujarat transport department has decided to do a driving test from 6am to 10:30 in two shifts.
The road transportation department on Wednesday issued a circular stating that appointments for automatic driving test tracks will be more than two shifts.

Circular states that document verification will begin at 6 am and the first test on the drive track will begin at 6:30 a.m.
Circular stated that because the curfew because T Covid-19 came from 10 nights, the last test must be completed at 9:20 a.m.
Officials in RTO said the government had asked the local authorities to regulate lighting in the area.
Also, the waiting room must be illuminated correctly to prevent unwanted incidents.
Officials said circular also stated that Gujarat Industrial Security Forces must be deployed.
The night shift will only be for Ahmedabad (Subhash Bridge and Vastral), Rajkot, Vadodara and Letters.
For other RTOS, there will be no changes in the schedule.
RTO officials said at this time the waiting period was more than 45 days and the promise was taken within half an hour opening the slot.
Officials said without appointments, people were forced to get an updated learner license.
Officials said the success ratio for driving tests for cars was 30% to 35% while for the two wheels it was 70%.
Officials said that it still had to be seen how effective the new system was as inspectors and staff must arrive before 6 in the morning.
