However, when it comes to appointing a doctor at the Primary Health Center, the state has provided a sanction of 1,869 posts where 1,490 is filled.
The state has a shortage of 379 doctors in PHC against sanction poss.
A senior health worker said that the state government was on the floor of the State Assembly announcing that they did not get a super specialist.
He said that the former Health Minister Nitin Patel had explained that not many were willing to join the government sector and did not want to serve in rural areas.
Officers said that it was also the fact that the lack of adequate remuneration was also a factor for Super doctors and specialists who did not choose to work in the government sector.
Other officers said that it had also been observed that two or three special special doctors held hands and opened their own hospital which turned out to be more useful.
The government has also begun to recruit super part-time specialists, but even so he fails to attract many talents.
A civilian housing supervisor in Saurashtra said, “In the absence of these super specialists, especially the gynecologist, the hospital has a committee that empowers a hospital to obtain specialist services by paying a fixed amount.
Such a committee, known as Rogi Kalyan Samiti, led by Each collector and hence in most of the district hospitals, such practices are widespread because there are no doctors who are willing to join full time.
“In addition to these super specialist doctors preferring to stay more in urban cities than rural areas rather than rural areas which is far from the district headquarters.
