Guj: Loco pilot blew the horn, face attack; 6 wounded

Ahmedabad: For many of us, the sound of a trigger trigger for childhood travel – battle with you to sit near the window, begged with parents to buy you snacks that, try to read the names of the stations, and make a temporary ghost sound through through the tunnel.
But for some people, high-pitched horn triggers so much irritation they finally pelted stones in the locomotive.
In the past six months, the six attacks occurred on the railway in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, leaving at least three Loco pilots with severe injuries needed by several operations.
On Friday night, the pilot from the express train saw two men sleeping near the railroad and blew the whistle to wake them up so they would not be destroyed under the wheels.
Happy to be awakened in this way, they threw a stone stone, damaging it.
Fortunately, Driver, Chandan Kumar, did not suffer any injuries.
However, there are other people who are not as fortunate as Kumar.
According to sources in the Western train, train protection forces (RPF) and Gujarat police train (GRP), the attack has increased in recent months with pilots suffering serious injuries.
“In three incidents, Loco pilots suffered permanent injuries in their eyes.
One of them has a missing vision in one eye while the other two are undergoing surgery and treatment.
The attack also causes damage to the engine,” said an official from the west of the train.
About six months ago, Nilesh Dhanu – Porbandar-Kochuveli Express Pilot Locomotive – suffered a critical injury in his left eye when someone threw a stone at him near the Ghodasar Bridge.
“He was immediately rushed to the LG hospital where he had been operated three times but he still couldn’t see from the eyes hurt,” said a source on the train.
In a similar incident, Loco Pilot Train Goods, Kishor Solanki, a vision lost in one of his eyes in an attack that took place near the intersection of the intersection about two months ago.
Sunil Kumar, Loco pilot from the train between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, had to face a similar attack between Nadiad and Memavad about a month ago.
In addition, the pilot of the Demu train locomotive was attacked near Naroda.
Some stones pelted on the train, destroying the glass piercing her body in several places, stating the train notes.
In December, there were two severe stone incidents on the Valsad-Viramgam passenger train near Sabarmati.
RPF and GRP officers investigated this case said that people, who were caught in this case, claimed that they were throwing stones after getting annoyed by the whistle train.
Secretary of the Joint Division in the Association and Director of JC Bank Railroad Railroad Western Employee, Sanjay Suryabali, confirmed the incident.
He said, “People need to understand that the pilot blew the whistle to save people’s lives.”
