Ahmedabad: A famous CBSE school teacher in Gandhinagar accused her husband and his in-laws harassing him for dowry.
Submitting a complaint with the Sola police on Sunday, the 30-year-old said that he was married to a resident of Gota in 2018.
“At the time of marriage, my father gave gold and silver ornaments and cash of RS 25,000.
From the second day of the marriage, my husband Start abusing me.
When I told his parents about this, they pointed it.
My parents also told me to bear the situation, “he said.
He added, “My in-laws went to Uttarakhand and I lived with them for 10 days.
They were with my brother-in-law who had abused me.
After returning from Uttarakhand, I started staying at rent in Gota.
My husband continued to harass and attack me.
When I complained about This to my in-laws, they said that my father did not give enough dowry so I had to bear torment.
“The complainant accused that his brother-in-law then began to live with a partner in their home.
“They forced me to leave my house.
Last February, I was pregnant and gave birth to a daughter.
My in-laws misused me for it too.
In November, they drove me from home.
I have lived with my parents at the MeMera since then,” he said.
The teacher accused when he asked his in-laws to bring him back, he was told to get four-wheeled and cash as a dowry if he wanted to enter the house.
Finally, he filed a complaint under the Dowry Law and under the IPC part 498 (a) against his husband and in-laws.
