Ahmedabad: A consultant appointed by the Gujarat government has identified 22 sites in the cities of Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar with “potential” to host the Olympics, and the state government will soon be involved with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to host games on In 2036, said an official on Friday.
Development has come almost five months after Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (Auda) invites proposals from consultants to do “gap analysis” to assess existing infrastructure in the city and find out what is needed to make it a potential place for summer.
