Veraval: Three staff in the dining room in the city of Veraval in Gir Somnath District Gujarat died of electrocution on Friday night after they came into contact with high voltage electric wire while removing a signboard, police said.
Hiralal Outpatient (22), Vivek Meena (18) and Mahesh Parmar (20), all employees of the Swagat Dining Hall are located in St.
Road, have gone to the terrace of a two-story dining room to remove the old name board, which is almost 10 feet and made of steel stem, said BD Parmar Inspector.
“When they pull a rope using a rope, the metal structure touches the 11KV high voltage electricity line passing near the terrace.
The three of them died in place.
Incessive death cases have been registered and the probe is ongoing,” he said.
