Rajkot: Three people were booked on Thursday for allegedly killing their friends after Tiff for repayment of Rs 1,300 loans at Anjar on September 28.
The initial accusation claimed that their friends had stabbed him.
The 35-year-old victim was Suresh Bhuriya, a native of Madhya Pradesh, rushed to the hospital on September 28 by three accused – Rajesh Hariprasad, the day of Sakshi and Munna Prasad Hariprasad.
Bhuriya went to meet the trio in Sakshi’s room in Varsamedi Village.
At the hospital, Bhuriya Raju’s wife was threatened by the trio accused of telling the police that Bhuriya had stabbed itself to death in a drunk condition.
The police suspected of death and postmortem reports on Wednesday confirmed that Bhuriya had not stabbed itself but was stabbed by someone else.
There was another knife injury found on his body.
Based on suspicion, Munna was picked up to be questioned and he admitted that he and the other two had killed Bhuriya.
The investigation revealed that Rajesh had borrowed 1,300 Rs from Bhuriya but paid it.
During TIFF on September 28 for the money, Bhuriya was allegedly killed by the trio.
The police registered a murder case and also included various parts of the scheduled caste and the scheduled tribe (prevention of atrocities) acting based on the complaints given by Raju.
While Munna was officially arrested, two other defendants ran.
