Ahmedabad: A total of 57,000 of the 1.51 Lakh elementary school teachers in Gujarat took part in the ‘Prepared Survey’ conducted by the State Department of Education on Tuesday even though the call boycott provided by Teacher’s clothing, officials said.
Minister of Education Bhupendrasinh Chudasama said Gujarat had become the first country in the country to regulate such teacher surveys, which aims to prepare an effective training module for them and in turn improve the quality of education.

Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh-Gujarat, Teacher Union, has opposed the survey and has filled “exams for teachers”, while the Chudasama minister previously said the exercise was needed to improve the quality of education.
