Gujarat: 5 held for flouting Nighttime curfew Tips in Vadodara

VADODARA: A disc jockey and others were detained for allegedly flouting coronavirus-induced nighttime curfew guidelines in Vadodara in Gujarat, authorities said on Saturday.
A patrolling group of Fatehgunj police discovered them dance to loud music at a union function organised close Fulwadi crossroad here, an official said.
“They weren’t wearing masks maintaining social distancing.
According to a complaint filed in Fatehgunj police station on Saturday, DJ Johnny Mcwan, Faizal Pathan, Mohammad Pathan, Ibrahim Rathod and Zakir Rathod were detained,” he explained.
They had been charged under sections 188 (disobedience to purchase duly promulgated by a public servant) and part 269 (act likely to spread the infection of any disease dangerous to life) of this IPC, and also terms of Epidemic Diseases Act, the Fatehgunj authorities station officer said.
