Gujarat: 60 was held to sell bio-diesel below the standard

Ahmedabad: Gujarat police coordinated with other departments the state government captured 60 people from various parts of the country for their involvement in the sale of sub-standard bio-diesel.
The Director General of Police Ashish Bhatia said that in the last two days 32 such cases had been registered and 60 people had been arrested.
Since September last year, the state police coordinated with other institutions stormed several places and gas stations and in all 250 cases had been registered for low-quality bio-diesel sales and a total of 414 people had been captured in these cases.
The DGP office said the special team had been formed to check the sale of sub-standard bio-diesel.
Special team consists of police officers, local administration, civil supply department and state government tax department.
The bio-diesel samples collected have been sent for analysis to find what is sold in the name of bio-diesel.
The police have registered the case and will investigate whether they are caught have a license to sell bio-diesel.
State government officials said more than 360 officials were investigating poor quality bio-diesel sales.
Raids was carried out after the oil company filed a complaint about the bio-diesel sales.
