Ahmedabad: A 20-year-old man allegedly beaten to death by the relatives of the girl he told in the Vadodara Gujarat district, police said on Thursday.
Four people including the girl had been arrested after the incident occurred in Chokari Village in Padra Tehsil on Wednesday, an official said.
Videos of brutal attacks also become viral on social media.
The kidnapping and murder cases have been registered and the fourth accused of being involved in crimes including the girl’s father has been arrested, said the police district supervisor Sudhir Kumar Desai.
Jayesh Raval, the victim, and the girl reportedly loved each other but his family did not approve of the relationship, he said.
“His mother told other family members when he saw both of them talking.
The defendant kidnapped the uterus from his house and struggled after tied him to the tree.
When he fell unconscious, a villagers told the police,” Reporters said.
The video showed some men hit Raval with a stick while another man held him.
“The police reached the place and took him to the nearest hospital but he was declared dead by the doctors,” the official said, adding that further investigation was on.
