Ahmedabad: After a 17-month low in 8 cases on September 19, only four days later Gujarat recorded 26 new Covid-19 positive cases.
The number is the highest since 27 cases recorded on July 31, or 54 days.
New cases include 7 of the city of Letters, 5 from the city of Ahmedabad, each from the city of Rajkot and Vadodara, Somnath and Porbandar Gir District, and 1 of each of the city of Jamnagar, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Kiksari, Valsad and Navsari.
The trend shows that 16 of 26 or 61.5% of cases are recorded from four major cities.
With debit 19 patients, the state added 7 patients to the calculation of active patients in 140.
Of the total active cases, six were in the ventilator.
Gujarat in 24 hours vaccinated 3.59 lakh people, took the total amount to 5.83 crores.
