Gujarat Anti-Terrorist (ATS) officers on Sunday said that they had arrested a scholar from Dehli named Maulana Qamar Gani Islami in connection with the murder of Kishan Bharwad who was shot dead in the city of Dhandhuka on January 25 with two men who were transmitted by motorbike to share the post Controversial post about Islam and religious figures.
“Maulana Qamar Ganhi Islami was arrested from Dyagunj in New Delhi when he left his office where he carried out an organization called Tehreek-e-Farogh-e-Islami,” said a senior officer ATS.
Officers said that Islam was previously charged with UPA (legal violation prevention law) by Tripura police in November 2021 after the communal riots broke there following his speech that incited him.
“Islamic has been on April 2021 uploaded the video where he was seen making a provocative speech against blasphemous writing.
He has said in the speech that someone can do anything to punish the person who made the blasphemy against Islam,” ATS officers said.
In the case of Kishan Bharwad’s murder, he was related to the two executors of Shabbir Chopda’s murder, who had shot dead Bharwad, and Imtiyaz Pathan, who rode a motorcycle where Chopda drove Pathan.
Chopda Religiously followed Islamic on social media had met him many times.
To kill Bharwad, Islami has given Chopda weapons and they say a plan on how to kill him.
Meanwhile, two brothers were arrested for allegedly supplying pistols and five cartridges to the scholars arrested in connection with the murder of a Hindu man in the city of Dhandhuka.
The Special Operations Group (SOG) caught Azim Bashir the same, residents of Dudhsagar Road in Rajkot and his brother Wairim.
Both brothers have fled after Maulana’s arrest.
However, SOG Sleuggells Nabbed Wasim from Morbi and Azim from Mitana Tankara Village in Rajkot District.
They have been handed over to ATS, who are investigating this case.
Kishan was killed on January 25 by photographing to death and six people including Chopda, Shaikh, a scholar based in Gleric Mohammed Ayyub Javrawala, two from Morbi – who provided weapons and Islam had been captured in this case so far.
On January 9, a FIR was filed against Bharwad for allegedly criticizing people from certain religions and video sharing and photographs beheading.
Bharwad has made an inappropriate statement about several religious leaders and said at his social media post that people could not make comments blasphemy on religion.
Bharwad was arrested in this case and then released.
At that time, the defendant had decided to kill Bharwad when he made a comment that was inappropriate against Islam.
After that, Chopda, Pathan, Javrawala along with Islamic planned to kill him.
