GANDHINAGAR: The Gujarat government on Friday searched a decrease in products and services tax (GST) prices on things used for the treatment of Covid-19.
The country sought these relaxations from the federal GST council meeting that was held nearly, and the council has agreed to do the research, stated deputy chief minister Nitin Patel Patel, who’s also the country health and finance ministry, together with leading officials of this state finance division attended the online assembly.

“Like other nations, we asked the GST council to decrease the GST prices on chemical oxygen plants, gas generators, concentrators, and oximeters.
” He added:”The authorities agreed to decrease the prices from the current 12%” The DyCM stated,”We requested the council to decrease GST prices on life-support machines such as ventilators and on medications to lower price of Covid-19 therapy.
” At present, the prices on such essentials vary from 12 percent to 18%,” he explained.
“The authorities made a decision to create a ministerial committee with representation from several countries,” he explained.
“The authorities asked the committee to publish its views by following week’s assembly ” Patel additionally said:”We’re aware of a substantial decrease in the GST prices on life-support systems along with other Covid-19 essentials” The stte authorities had sought a cap on overdue charge payment fees as several traders and GST card-holders requested comfort.
Now, it’s been determined to limit the late payment charges in the array of Rs 2,000 to Rs 10,000 rather than an unspecified quantity.
