Vadodara: Vadodara rural police who were hunting to save a 6-day-old boy who was kidnapped from a village in Waghodiya Taluka finally reunited the baby with his parents on Tuesday.
The baby was sold in Bihar to one Lance rising the Indian Army, Narendrakumar Ranjan, for RS 4 Lakh.
The police collected all seven people involved in kidnapping and rackets of children’s purchases.
The police said that couples without children bought babies from Kalpesh Rathod, who lived in Kalol.
Ranjan, who previously served in Vadodara, Know Rathod through ordinary friends.
During the past six months, Ranjan and Rathod were associated when the first wanted to buy a child as he and his wife did not have children.
Greed worn in Rathod, who contacted Pravin Chunara and his wife Daxa, a homeless couple who lived under the FateHgunjel flyover bridge, to find and kidnap a child and they will also be paid.
When the couple could not find a child in the city of Vadodara, Pravin contacted his friend, Kalidas alias Kaliyo, who lives in Kotambi Village in Waghodiya, to find a child.
Kaliyo came to know recently that a child was born in Bannagarpura Village his neighbor to a woman from the same community.
Kaliyo made a plan to kidnap the boy on October 20 along with his son Mahesh and a friend named Raman Rathodiya.
In time Wee October 21, Trio kidnapped the baby from his house and handed it to Pravin, who gave him Rathod.
Rathod then contacted Ranjan, who came to Vadodara and took the child back to Bihar.
The day after the boy was sold, his mother approached the police and filed a complaint kidnapping at the Waghodiya police station.
“We did not leave the stone missed in finding babies.
Our team questioned many people and worked on several theories and finally we had a clue that helped us solve this case,” said Dr.
Sudhir Desai, Vadodara rural police supervisor.
As long as it is questioned in Bhannagarpura Village, the police know that a man from Kalol is looking for a child.
Besides Pravin, Rathod has also contacted other people, to find children and one of those people leading the police to him.
Rathod was taken to be questioned and he spilled beans on a terrible story.
While Rathod saved the biggest money pie received from Ranjan, he gave Rs 90,000 to Kaliano and Rs 10,000 to Pravin.
