AHMEDABAD: The state government on Wednesday said that it was made a decision to cancel board examinations for Class 12 pupils of Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB).
The decision, taken on the traces of Class 12 board examinations to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), has been shot in the country cabinet meeting on Wednesday, say education minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama declared.
A determination on whether to run examinations for Class 10 and Class 12 repeater pupils or not might be performed soon, the minister stated.
The decision was taken keeping in view the larger interest of 6.83 lakh Course 12 pupils who had been expected to take the examinations this year.
On Tuesday day GSHSEB had declared the dates for Class 12 board assessments in July 1 to July 16.
