Palanpur: Four people died in a head collision between their cars and tankers near the city of Tharad from Banskantha district on Monday.
The victims will go to Sanchore in Rajasthan when the accident occurred near Mangrol Patia, 1.5 km from Tharad, around 5pm.
The deceased was identified as Kheta Patel of Mangrol and Rava Meghwa, Rajabhai Sambada and Prakash Majirana, indigenous people of Tharad.
The police said the accident occurred when the car driver lost control while avoiding obstacles on the road.
Two people were seriously injured and the conditions were said to be critical.
Meanwhile, the locals chased the driver of a tanker, who tried to avoid the place, and handed it to the police.
