Gujarat: Cop takes Rs 5,000 to close the case, trapped

Ahmedabad: ACB officer on Thursday caught the ATI milk for Pethapur Gandhinagar for taking bribes from a man to cover the complaints of missing people.
The complainant wife had gone to her parents’ house in the Dhulia district in Maharashtra but her brother-in-law (his wife’s sister) had hostility with him so he went to the Pethapur police station and filed a complaint of missing people.
He claimed that his sister was being tortured.
The complainant told ACB that his wife’s sister wants to harass him for some old disputes, even though he knows that his sister has gone to meet his parents.
ASI Hasmukh Sharma, who keep the Pos Unava post from the Pethapur police station, was asked to investigate the request of a missing person and he called the complainant to record his statement.
Not aware of his brother-in-law’s actions, he went to the police station and told the police that his wife had gone to his parents and returned two more days.
Sharma demanded Rs 20,000 bribes to close the application submitted by brother-in-law.
After Ronde negotiations, the complainant agreed to pay Rs 5,000.
He told ACB after the trap arranged and the breast milk accused of being caught with red hands took bribes.
