Rajkot: Covid-19 fresh cases and deaths because the virus continues to decline in the Saurashtra area on Thursday.
Five deaths were recorded in Saurashtra on Thursday against 10 on Wednesday.
According to health officials, two patients died in the city of Rajkot during the care and respectively in the city of Bhavnagar, the city of Jamnagar and rural Bhavnagar.
On Thursday, 238 people were tested positive in the city of Rajkot and 172 in the district.
In the Jamnagar district, 62 new infections were detected while in Bhavnagar 83 districts were tested positively.
Overall, Gujarat added 7,606 new positive cases, with a total of 11.85 lakh.
The state death toll rises to 10,579 with 34 deaths – 10 of the city of Ahmedabad, four of the city of Vadodara, three of each in the city of the letter, a rural letter, Bharuch, two of Gandhinagar and the cities of Rajkot.
One death was reported from Bhavnagar, Jamnagar City, Kheda, Morbi, Valsad Regency, Panchmahal and Bhavnagar.
On Thursday, 54,310 people were vaccinated for the first dose and 2.98 lakh for the second.
Overall, 5.13 crore has been given the first and 4.61 second-dose crore.
