Ahmedabad: The Government of Gujarat on Monday decided to stop printing all types of Gazettes and said it would be available online as part of the initiative to paper without paper.
Chairman of Minister Vijay Rupani on Monday launched a website where government Gazettes will be available for free download, which leads to savings around 35 metric tons of paper every year, a release of information.
The traditional process of gazette printing that has been going on for years will now end up with the availability of this digital gazette-online website, he added.
“The QR code practice has been implemented for the authenticity of the e-Gazette copy downloaded.
In a month, all gazes available over the past three decades will be submitted on the website,” said the release further.
